Physical Therapist, Biomechanics Unit
Federico was born in 1999 in Fabriano (Italy). He grew up in Tolentino, a hilly town in the inland of Macerata (Italy).
Since childhood, he has felt the need to spend his free time outdoors, often due to summer vacations spent in the Monti Sibillini (Italy).
Right there, he discovered one of his greatest passions: the downhill, a discipline of mountain biking. From that moment on, he hasn't gotten off the bike until he was 19, when he started his university journey.
During this time, he participated in national and international competitions, winning two Italian titles in the youth categories, and a Swiss title in the IXS Swiss Cup circuit, finally competing in the Downhill World Championships in Val di Sole (Italy) in 2016.
After ending his athletic career, he began his university studies at the University of Perugia (Italy), graduating with honors in Physical Therapy in November 2021.
During the third year of his Bachelor course of study, he was awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship, which led him to complete three months of clinical internship at the orthopedic outpatient clinic of the University of Malaga (Spain), an experience that allowed him to engage with rehabilitation techniques less implemented in Italy.
Subsequently, he pursued short courses in England, Switzerland, and Italy with the aim of proposing rehabilitation in line with the latest scientific evidence. He then began his clinical practice at the Santo Stefano Institute of the KOS Care group in Tolentino (Italy), his hometown. There, he managed the rehabilitation of patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Later, almost by chance, he came into contact with Sebastiano Nutarelli (Sports Rehab co-founder together with Andrea Balboni), who welcomed him, along with Andrea, to their PT clinic in Lugano (Switzerland) for an internship valid to obtain the recognition of his title of Physical Therapist in Switzerland.
During this period, he deepened his knowledge of orthopedic-sports rehabilitation and participated in scientific research projects.
After completing the internship, Federico joined the Sports Rehab staff in April 2024.
In his free time, Federico travels, coordinates projects for the development of mountain biking in the area, and engages in outdoor sports.
