Dr. Valoroso was born in 1984 in Varese, Italy.

He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from Varese, where he also obtained his specialization.

Throughout his career, Dr. Valoroso has demonstrated a strong interest in knee surgery, particularly in sports medicine (ACL reconstruction, treatment of complex meniscal lesions, and multiligament instability), patellofemoral disorders (MPFL reconstruction, trochleoplasty, and anterior knee pain management), cartilage pathology (repair and reconstruction), robotic-assisted prosthetic surgery, revision prosthetic surgery, traumatology and knee arthrofibrosis treatment.

In 2016, he had the honor of being a fellow of Professor David Dejour (past president of ESSKA) in Lyon (France) for a year, during which he specialized in high-level knee surgery and visited several leading knee surgery centers across Europe. Dejour's pioneering research on trochlear dysplasia classification and his innovative surgical techniques have significantly shaped modern knee surgery, providing essential advancements in the field and influencing specialists worldwide.

In 2020, Dr. Valoroso joined the knee surgery unit at EOC (Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale) Lugano, where he has been actively working to refine and advance surgical techniques for knee conditions.

Since January 2025, Dr. Valoroso has been the Head of Knee Surgery at EOC , leading the knee surgery unit at the hospitals of Lugano and Bellinzona, where he ensures the highest standards of surgical care and innovation.

Dr. Valoroso has authored and led several internationally indexed scientific articles on knee surgery and serves as a lecturer at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), actively contributing to the education and training of future medical professionals.

He is currently developing a project aimed at creating a specialized center dedicated to knee arthrofibrosis treatment, working in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care through tailored surgical approaches and innovative treatment methodologies.
